The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. As a result, exports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2020, the growth exports failed to regain the momentum.

Zambia (X units), Botswana (X units) and Zimbabwe (X units) were the main destinations of cash register exports from South Africa, together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Swaziland, Ethiopia, Malawi, Seychelles, Namibia, France and Lesotho, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Swaziland (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for cash register exported from South Africa were Botswana ($X), Zimbabwe ($X) and Zambia ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Seychelles, France, Namibia, Swaziland, Ethiopia, Malawi and Lesotho, which together accounted for a further X recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, the average cash register export price amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Seychelles ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Malawi ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
