Glass Market Size in Slovenia

The revenue of the glass market in Slovenia amounted to $X in 2018, surging by X% against the previous year. In value terms, Japan ($X) remains the largest glass supplier from Slovenia, comprising X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by the U.S. ($X), with a X% share of global exports. It was followed by China, Hong Kong SAR, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Japan amounted to +X%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the U.S. (+X% per year) and China, Hong Kong SAR (+X% per year).

In 2018, the glass export price in Slovenia amounted to $X per square meter, rising by X% against the previous year. Overall, the glass export price continues to indicate a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2012 an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, the export prices for drawn glass and blown glass reached their peak figure at $X per square meter in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2018, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, glass imports reached their peak figure at X square meters in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, glass imports totaled $X in 2018. In general, glass imports, however, continue to indicate a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, glass imports reached their maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2018, China (X square meters) and South Korea (X square meters) represented the main importers of drawn glass and blown glassin the world, together resulting at near X% of total imports. Taiwan, Chinese (X square meters) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Mongolia (X square meters), Qatar (X square meters) and Brazil (X square meters). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports. Armenia (X square meters), China, Hong Kong SAR (X square meters), India (X square meters), Thailand (X square meters), Spain (X square meters) and the U.S. (X square meters) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Taiwan, Chinese recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to imports, among the main importing countries over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2018, the glass import price in Slovenia amounted to $X per square meter, going down by -X% against the previous year. In general, the glass import price continues to indicate a deep slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of X% against the previous year. Slovenia import price peaked at $X per square meter in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was China, Hong Kong SAR ($X per square meter), while Mongolia ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
