The Czech Republic (X tons) was the main destination for plant-growth regulators exports from Slovakia, with a 52% share of total exports. Moreover, plant-growth regulators exports to the Czech Republic exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X tons), twofold. Austria (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 9.3% share.

Imports into Slovakia
In 2021, after six years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of plant-growth regulators, when their volume decreased by -17.3% to X tons. Over the period under review, total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 38%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then shrank significantly in the following year.
In value terms, plant-growth regulators imports rose to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 27%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

France (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of plant-growth regulators imports to Slovakia, together accounting for 49% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the Netherlands (with a CAGR of +107.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average plant-growth regulators import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 25% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the price for Ireland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
