For the third consecutive year, Slovakia recorded growth in purchases abroad of iron or steel articulated link chain, which increased by X% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, metal link chain imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In 2021, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of metal link chain to Slovakia, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, metal link chain imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), threefold.
