Exports from Slovakia

In 2022, overseas shipments of hats and other headgear were finally on the rise to reach X units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year declining trend. In general, exports saw a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, hat and headgear exports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, exports enjoyed a resilient expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

The Czech Republic (X units), Poland (X units) and Austria (X units) were the main destinations of hat and headgear exports from Slovakia, with a combined X% share of total exports. Hungary, Germany, Romania and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
