Australia (X tonnes) was the main destination for frozen fruit exports from Slovakia, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, frozen fruit exports to Australia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Czech Republic (X tonnes), twofold. The Netherlands (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.
From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Australia amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (-X% per year) and the Netherlands (-X% per year).
In value terms, Italy ($X), Australia ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for frozen fruit exported from Slovakia worldwide, together comprising X% of total exports.

Frozen fruit imports into Slovakia amounted to X tonnes in 2018, approximately mirroring the previous year. Overall, frozen fruit imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, frozen fruit imports reached their maximum at X tonnes in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, frozen fruit imports stood at $X in 2018. Over the period under review, the total imports indicated a tangible increase from 2007 to 2018: its value decreased at an average annual rate of -X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, frozen fruit imports decreased by -X% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
