Exports from Singapore

For the fifth year in a row, Singapore recorded decline in shipments abroad of maize oil, which decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. Overall, exports showed a dramatic descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, maize oil exports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The Philippines (X tons) was the main destination for maize oil exports from Singapore, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, maize oil exports to the Philippines exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kuwait (X tons), fourfold.
