In value terms, carbon electrode exports declined rapidly to $X in 2020. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, exports attained the peak of $X. from 2009 to 2020, the growth exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Indonesia (X tonnes), Brunei Darussalam (X tonnes) and Mexico (X tonnes) were the main destinations of carbon electrode exports from Singapore, with a combined X% share of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Mexico (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Indonesia ($X) remains the key foreign market for carbon electrode exports from Singapore, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by the U.S. ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Brunei Darussalam, with a X% share.

Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2010 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, carbon electrode imports surged to $X in 2020. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.
