The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, exports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2020, the growth exports failed to regain the momentum.

Yemen (X tonnes), Malaysia (X tonnes) and the U.S. (X tonnes) were the main destinations of sesame oil exports from Saudi Arabia, together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by Algeria, Canada, the UK and Qatar, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Canada, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Yemen ($X), the U.S. ($X) and Algeria ($X) constituted the largest markets for sesame oil exported from Saudi Arabia worldwide, together accounting for X% of total exports.

In terms of the main countries of destination, Yemen recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average sesame oil export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, which is down by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable reduction.
