Exports from Saudi Arabia

For the third consecutive year, Saudi Arabia recorded growth in overseas shipments of fresh or chilled cuts of chicken, which increased by 106% to X tons in 2021. Overall, exports showed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by 221%. The exports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, fresh chicken cut exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, exports enjoyed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 476%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Exports by Country

The United Arab Emirates (X tons) was the main destination for fresh chicken cut exports from Saudi Arabia, with a 74% share of total exports. Moreover, fresh chicken cut exports to the United Arab Emirates exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Bahrain (X tons), sevenfold.
