The export price in X stood at less than $X per ton in 2021, standing approx. at the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while Ireland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+16.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Qatar prevails in imports structure, resulting at X tons, which was near 77% of total imports in 2021. Germany (X tons), the UK (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), the United States (X tons), France (X tons), Italy (X tons), China (X tons), Japan (X tons), Spain (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) held a little share of total imports.
Qatar was also the fastest-growing in terms of the composite diagnostic or laboratory reagents imports, with a CAGR of +165.6% from 2012 to 2021. Qatar (+77 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while Belgium, China, Turkey, the UK, Japan, Spain, Italy, France, the United States and Germany saw its share reduced by -2.3%, -2.6%, -2.6%, -2.7%, -2.8%, -2.8%, -4.2%, -6.1%, -7.1% and -9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Qatar ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported composite diagnostic or laboratory reagents into X, comprising 91% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the UK ($X), with a 1.2% share of global imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 1.1% share.
In Qatar, composite laboratory reagents imports increased at an average annual rate of +208.7% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the UK (+22.4% per year) and Germany (+6.7% per year).
