Exports from the Russian Federation

Toothpaste exports from Russia reduced to X tons in 2022, declining by X% on 2021. In general, exports, however, posted prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, toothpaste exports reduced remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a notable expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then reduced notably in the following year.

Exports by Country

Kazakhstan (X tons), Belarus (X tons) and Azerbaijan (X tons) were the main destinations of toothpaste exports from Russia, with a combined X% share of total exports. Ukraine, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Latvia, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Moldova and China lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Tajikistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, toothpaste imports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then declined in the following year.
