Egypt, Belgium, the Netherlands, Colombia, France, Uzbekistan, Finland, the United States, Canada and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 39%.

In value terms, Belarus ($X), Poland ($X) and Turkey ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for polycarboxylic acid exported from Russia worldwide, with a combined 31% share of total exports. Egypt, Belgium, the Netherlands, Colombia, Uzbekistan, the United States, Canada, Finland, Italy and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 38%.
Belgium, with a CAGR of +309.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The average polycarboxylic acid export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a slight downturn. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into the Russian Federation
In 2021, imports of polycarboxylic acids into Russia expanded notably to X tons, surging by 6.4% against the previous year. In general, imports showed a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 31%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, polycarboxylic acid imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated mild growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -13.2% against 2019 indices. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest polycarboxylic acid supplier to Russia, accounting for a 74% share of total imports. Moreover, polycarboxylic acid imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), more than tenfold. Belgium (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +52.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (-7.3% per year) and Belgium (+0.7% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of polycarboxylic acids to Russia, comprising 62% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 9% share of total imports. It was followed by South Korea, with an 8.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China amounted to +40.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (-9.9% per year) and South Korea (+8.3% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average polycarboxylic acid import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 43% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a pronounced decline. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
