The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008 with an increase of X% y-o-y. As a result, exports attained the peak of $X. from 2009 to 2020, the growth of exports remained at a lower figure.

Taiwan (Chinese) (X tonnes), Mexico (X tonnes) and Belgium (X tonnes) were the main destinations of exports of raw steel and steel semi-finished products from Russia, with a combined X% share of total exports. Turkey, Egypt, the Philippines, Denmark, the U.S., Algeria, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Italy and Indonesia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Algeria (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Taiwan (Chinese) ($X), Mexico ($X) and Belgium ($X) constituted the largest markets for raw steel and steel semi-finished products exported from Russia worldwide, together accounting for X% of total exports. The average export price for raw steel and steel semi-finished products stood at $X per tonne in 2020, leveling off at the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, export price reached the peak level of $X per tonne. from 2009 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In 2020, the countries with the highest prices were the U.S. ($X per tonne) and Denmark ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Taiwan (Chinese) ($X per tonne) and the Philippines ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.
