Exports by Country
Turkey (X tons) was the main destination for chili and pepper exports from Russia, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, chili and pepper exports to Turkey exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kazakhstan (X tons), fivefold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Turkey totaled X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (X% per year) and Uzbekistan (X% per year).
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the key foreign market for chilies and peppers (green) exports from Russia, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with an X% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Turkey stood at X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uzbekistan (X% per year) and Kazakhstan (X% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average chili and pepper export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, which is down by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into the Russian Federation
In 2022, imports of chilies and peppers (green) into Russia expanded markedly to X tons, increasing by X% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, total imports indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2020 indices. Imports by Country
Israel (X tons), China (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of chili and pepper imports to Russia, together comprising X% of total imports. Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Lithuania lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Armenia (with a CAGR of X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Israel ($X), China ($X) and Turkey ($X) constituted the largest chili and pepper suppliers to Russia, with a combined X% share of total imports. Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Lithuania lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per ton), while the price for Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
