Carpet Exports

Exports from the Russian Federation

In 2022, after six years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of carpets and other textile floor coverings, when their volume decreased by X% to X square meters. Overall, exports, however, posted a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X square meters in 2021, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

In value terms, carpet exports dropped dramatically to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

Tajikistan (X square meters) was the main destination for carpet exports from Russia, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, carpet exports to Tajikistan exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kazakhstan (X square meters), twofold.
