In value terms, agricultural and forestry tractor exports fell significantly to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, showed a noticeable slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when exports increased by 44%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Germany (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and Poland (X units) were the main destinations of agricultural and forestry tractor exports from Russia, with a combined 37% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Serbia, Slovenia, Iceland, Egypt and Montenegro, which together accounted for a further 14%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Serbia (with a CAGR of +239.8%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Poland ($X) were the largest markets for agricultural and forestry tractor exported from Russia worldwide, with a combined 29% share of total exports.
Poland, with a CAGR of +155.3%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the average agricultural and forestry tractor export price amounted to $X per unit, falling by -57% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 45%. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Egypt ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+19.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the Russian Federation
Agricultural and forestry tractor imports into Russia expanded notably to X units in 2021, increasing by 11% on 2020 figures. Overall, imports, however, showed a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 68% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, agricultural and forestry tractor imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 78%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest agricultural and forestry tractor supplier to Russia, with a 53% share of total imports. Moreover, agricultural and forestry tractor imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Finland (X units), sevenfold. The United States (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 5.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China amounted to +5.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Finland (+38.9% per year) and the United States (+14.1% per year).
In value terms, the largest agricultural and forestry tractor suppliers to Russia were the United States ($X), China ($X) and Germany ($X), together accounting for 45% of total imports. These countries were followed by France, Finland, Japan and India, which together accounted for a further 16%.
In terms of the main suppliers, India, with a CAGR of +35.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average agricultural and forestry tractor import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, with an increase of 32% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.7%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+10.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
