Wrapping Papers Market Size in Romania

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

Hungary (X tonnes) was the main destination for wrapping papers exports from Romania, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, wrapping papers exports to Hungary exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Moldova (X tonnes), fourfold. Poland (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of volume to Hungary amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Moldova (+X% per year) and Poland (-X% per year).

After four years of growth, supplies from abroad of wrapping paper, packaging paper and paperboard decreased by -X% to X tonnes in 2020. Overall, total imports indicated a moderate expansion from 2007 to 2020: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, imports increased by +X% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2019, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, wrapping papers imports declined to $X in 2020. In general, total imports indicated a temperate increase from 2007 to 2020: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years.
