Italy (X tonnes) was the main destination for glass fibre fabrics exports from Romania, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, glass fibre fabrics exports to Italy exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Slovakia (X tonnes), fourfold. Hungary (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Italy totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+X% per year) and Croatia (+X% per year).

In 2020, the average glass fibre fabrics export price amounted to $X per tonne, rising by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008 an increase of X% year-to-year. As a result, export price reached the peak level of $X per tonne. From 2009 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, glass fibre fabrics imports amounted to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2020 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
