Poland (X tons), Bulgaria (X tons) and Moldova (X tons) were the main destinations of roasted coffee exports from Romania, with a combined 34% share of total exports. The Netherlands, Slovakia, Ukraine, Greece, France and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 21%.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +90.3% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Germany (X tons), Bulgaria (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of roasted coffee imports to Romania, together accounting for 74% of total imports. These countries were followed by Poland, Slovakia, the Netherlands, France, Hungary and Austria, which together accounted for a further 25%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Slovakia (with a CAGR of +26.6%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest roasted coffee suppliers to Romania were Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and Bulgaria ($X), with a combined 73% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Poland, France, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Hungary and Austria, which together accounted for a further 23%.
Among the main suppliers, France, with a CAGR of +28.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average roasted coffee import price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 18% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
