Imports into Republic of Korea

In 2022, purchases abroad of wood fuel decreased by X% to X cubic meters, falling for the second consecutive year after five years of growth. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X cubic meters in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, wood fuel imports plummeted to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X%. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then fell markedly in the following year.

Imports by Country

Ukraine (X cubic meters), Latvia (X cubic meters) and Vietnam (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of wood fuel imports to South Korea, with a combined X% share of total imports.
