Japan (X tons), Vietnam (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main destinations of nucleic acid exports from South Korea, with a combined 55% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland, the United States, Indonesia, Bangladesh, the UK and Turkey, which together accounted for a further 34%.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of nucleic acid to South Korea, accounting for a 60% share of total imports.
