Lemon And Lime Market Size in Republic of Korea

The South Korean lemon and lime market contracted slightly to $X in 2019, remaining constant against the previous year. In 2019, the average lemon and lime export price amounted to $X per tonne, approximately equating the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2012 when the average export price increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, average export prices attained the maximum at $X per tonne in 2017; afterwards, it flattened through to 2019.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Mongolia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2019, the amount of lemons and limes imported into South Korea rose modestly to X tonnes, picking up by X% on the year before. Over the period under review, imports posted strong growth. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tonnes in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2019, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
