Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Oman ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Jordan ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2015, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kuwait, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, supplies from abroad of cheese increased by X% to X tonnes for the first time since 2017, thus ending a two-year declining trend. In general, imports, however, faced a precipitous descent. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tonnes in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, the largest cheese suppliers to Qatar were Ireland ($X), Malaysia ($X) and Spain ($X), together comprising X% of total imports.
