While the share of Indonesia (+30 p.p.), the Czech Republic (+3.5 p.p.) and Egypt (+1.9 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global exports from 2012-2021, the share of Italy (-2.2 p.p.), Germany (-2.5 p.p.), Canada (-8.2 p.p.) and the United States (-13.8 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Indonesia ($X) remains the largest uncoated felt paper supplier from Puerto Rico, comprising 53% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($X), with a 14% share of global exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 9.4% share.

In Indonesia, uncoated felt paper exports increased at an average annual rate of +8.8% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the United States (-8.1% per year) and the Czech Republic (+2.5% per year).

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to uncoated felt paper imports into Vietnam stood at +16.3%. At the same time, the United Arab Emirates (+53.9%), Egypt (+32.2%), Poland (+24.4%), Mexico (+24.1%), Italy (+15.4%), Saudi Arabia (+13.1%) and Denmark (+5.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the United Arab Emirates emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +53.9% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Norway (-8.8%), the United States (-14.1%), Germany (-16.8%), Canada (-18.2%) and the UK (-42.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Vietnam (+28 p.p.), Poland (+11 p.p.), the United Arab Emirates (+5.5 p.p.), Denmark (+3.3 p.p.), Egypt (+1.7 p.p.) and Italy (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global imports, while Saudi Arabia, the UK, Germany, the United States and Canada saw its share reduced by -2.6%, -4.9%, -10.4%, -11.5% and -24.9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Vietnam ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported uncoated felt paper and paperboard into Puerto Rico, comprising 23% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with an 11% share of global imports. It was followed by Canada, with a 5.2% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Vietnam stood at +18.0%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (+27.1% per year) and Canada (-14.0% per year).
