At the same time, Poland (+X%), Marshall Islands (+X%) and the United Arab Emirates (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Poland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Turkey (-X%), Germany (-X%), South Korea (-X%), Liberia (-X%) and Romania (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Poland, Marshall Islands, the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates increased by +X, +X, +X and +X percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, South Korea ($X) remains the largest tanker supplier from Puerto Rico, comprising X% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Poland ($X), with a X% share of global exports. It was followed by Marshall Islands, with a X% share.
In South Korea, tanker exports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (-X% per year) and Marshall Islands (+X% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Puerto Rico amounted to less than $X per thousand units, stabilizing at the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($X per thousand units), while Romania ($X per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The purchases of the four major importers of tankers, namely Indonesia, Poland, Brazil and Belgium, represented more than two-thirds of total import. It was distantly followed by France (X units), comprising a X% share of total imports. The following importers - Panama (X units) and Cayman Islands (X units) - each recorded a X% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Poland (with a CAGR of +X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Panama ($X), France ($X) and Poland ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined X% share of total imports.
France, with a CAGR of +X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Puerto Rico amounted to less than $X per thousand units, remaining stable against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Panama ($X per thousand units), while Brazil ($X per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
