These countries were followed by the United States, Poland, Spain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia, Bahrain and Italy, which together accounted for a further 40%.

Among the main exporting countries, Bahrain, with a CAGR of +18.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in Puerto Rico amounted to less than $X per ton, approximately mirroring the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Italy (with a CAGR of +26.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest steel railway material importing markets into Puerto Rico were Germany ($X), Canada ($X) and Italy ($X), with a combined 22% share of total imports.
