In terms of the main exporting countries, Latvia, with a CAGR of +43.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the United States (X tons), Mexico (X tons) and India (X tons) represented the largest importer of cow peas (dry) in the world, comprising 42% of total import. Pakistan (X tons) held the next position in the ranking, followed by the Dominican Republic (X tons) and Kenya (X tons). All these countries together took near 11% share of total imports. Afghanistan (X tons), Vietnam (X tons), China (X tons), Canada (X tons), Japan (X tons), Angola (X tons) and Haiti (X tons) held a relatively small share of total imports.

In value terms, the largest cow peas importing markets into Puerto Rico were the United States ($X), Mexico ($X) and the Dominican Republic ($X), together comprising 48% of total imports. These countries were followed by Afghanistan, Pakistan, Canada, China, Japan, Vietnam, Angola, Haiti, India and Kenya, which together accounted for a further 26%.
China, with a CAGR of +160.8%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
