From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to ammonium nitrate exports from Russia stood at +3.3%. At the same time, Oman (+58.0%), the UK (+19.7%), Kazakhstan (+6.2%), Bulgaria (+5.0%), Uzbekistan (+5.0%), South Africa (+4.8%) and Georgia (+2.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Oman emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +58.0% from 2012-2021. Sweden experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Lithuania (-1.9%), Canada (-4.8%), Chile (-5.4%) and Saudi Arabia (-10.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Russia, Oman, Uzbekistan and the UK increased by +14, +5.4, +2.7 and +1.7 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest ammonium nitrate supplier from Puerto Rico, comprising 38% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Saudi Arabia ($X), with a 14% share of global exports. It was followed by Bulgaria, with a 4.6% share.

In Russia, ammonium nitrate exports increased at an average annual rate of +1.8% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Saudi Arabia (+5.1% per year) and Bulgaria (+6.8% per year).

At the same time, Romania (+21.9%), Ukraine (+9.2%), the Netherlands (+8.6%), Lithuania (+2.7%) and Kazakhstan (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +21.9% from 2012-2021. Morocco, India, Ghana and Canada experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the UK (-3.9%), Peru (-4.1%) and France (-5.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Brazil, Romania and Ukraine increased by +4.4, +3.7 and +3.3 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
