In value terms, mushroom and truffle exports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. Overall, exports showed a resilient expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

Spain (X tonnes), France (X tonnes) and the Netherlands (X tonnes) were the main destinations of mushroom and truffle exports from Portugal, with a combined X% share of total exports. Belgium and Germany lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Germany (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
