In value terms, cereal flour exports contracted to $X in 2020. Overall, exports, however, saw strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports reached the maximum at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

Spain (X tonnes), Angola (X tonnes) and Sao Tome and Principe (X tonnes) were the main destinations of cereal flour exports from Portugal, with a combined X% share of total exports. Cabo Verde, France and Venezuela lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Venezuela (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
