Exports from Poland

Synthetic yarn exports from Poland fell to X tons in 2023, shrinking by X% on the previous year. In general, exports continue to indicate a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, synthetic yarn exports rose markedly to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports recorded a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Italy (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the main destinations of synthetic yarn exports from Poland, with a combined X% share of total exports. Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belarus, France, Spain, Slovakia, Russia, Turkey and Lithuania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Bulgaria (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Poland

Synthetic yarn imports into Poland rose slightly to X tons in 2023, with an increase of X% compared with the year before. In general, imports, however, showed a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

Turkey (X tons), China (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) were the main suppliers of synthetic yarn imports to Poland, together comprising X% of total imports. India, Germany, Romania, the Netherlands and Austria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
