In general, total exports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +48.1% against 2015 indices. The UK (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main destinations of vinegar-preserved vegetable exports from Poland, together comprising 42% of total exports. These countries were followed by Mongolia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Hungary, Russia, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia, Canada and Denmark, which together accounted for a further 38%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Hungary (with a CAGR of +22.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for vinegar-preserved vegetable exported from Poland were the UK ($X), Germany ($X) and the United States ($X), with a combined 47% share of total exports. The export price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 15%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
In value terms, vinegar-preserved vegetable imports expanded notably to $X in 2021. Overall, imports posted a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 25%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
Imports by Country
Germany (X tons), India (X tons) and South Africa (X tons) were the main suppliers of vinegar-preserved vegetable imports to Poland, together comprising 69% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by South Africa (with a CAGR of +63.8%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of vinegar-preserved vegetable to Poland, comprising 40% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by South Africa ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by India, with a 13% share.
