Germany (X units) was the main destination for wood drilling machine exports from Poland, with a 48% share of total exports. Moreover, wood drilling machine exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Ukraine (X units), twofold. Austria (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 4.3% share.

In value terms, Ukraine ($X), Russia ($X) and Belarus ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for wood drilling machine exported from Poland worldwide, with a combined 71% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Germany, Norway, Lithuania, Austria, Italy, Belgium, the UK and Spain, which together accounted for a further 25%.
Among the main countries of destination, Spain, with a CAGR of +100.9%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, purchases abroad of drilling or morticing machines was finally on the rise to reach X units after two years of decline. In general, imports enjoyed resilient growth. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, wood drilling machine imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports posted a strong expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

China (X units), Italy (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of wood drilling machine imports to Poland, with a combined 93% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Italy (with a CAGR of +25.9%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
