In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the key foreign market for crude soybean oil exports from Poland, comprising 55% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Estonia ($X), with a 26% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 7.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Germany stood at +69.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Estonia (+475.5% per year) and the Czech Republic (+34.7% per year).

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2021, the countries with the highest prices were the Czech Republic ($X per ton) and Denmark ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($X per ton) and Estonia ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.

Overall, imports, however, posted a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 55% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then dropped modestly in the following year.
In value terms, crude soybean oil imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Ukraine (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of crude soybean oil to Poland, with a 84% share of total imports. Moreover, crude soybean oil imports from Ukraine exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Netherlands (X tons), more than tenfold. Germany (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 4.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Ukraine amounted to +18.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (+9.1% per year) and Germany (-5.2% per year).
In value terms, Ukraine ($X) constituted the largest supplier of crude soybean oil to Poland, comprising 85% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Netherlands ($X), with a 5.6% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 4.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Ukraine totaled +20.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (+10.6% per year) and Germany (-6.1% per year).

The average crude soybean oil import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 59% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
