Cashew Nut Market Size in Poland

In 2019, the Polish cashew nut market decreased by -X% to $X for the first time since 2015, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, consumption saw a buoyant expansion. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tonnes in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2019, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, cashew nut imports contracted sharply to $X in 2019. In general, imports showed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2009 to 2019, the growth imports failed to regain the momentum.

Turkey (X tonnes), Viet Nam (X tonnes) and the Netherlands (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of cashew nut imports to Poland, together accounting for X% of total imports.

From 2007 to 2019, the biggest increases were in the Netherlands (+X% per year), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In value terms, Viet Nam ($X) constituted the largest supplier of cashew nut to Poland, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Turkey ($X), with a X% share of total imports.

From 2007 to 2019, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Viet Nam totaled +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+X% per year) and the Netherlands (+X% per year).

In 2019, the average cashew nut import price amounted to $X per tonne, declining by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed noticeable growth. The import price peaked at $X per tonne in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2019, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2019, the country with the highest price was Viet Nam ($X per tonne), while the price for Turkey ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Viet Nam, while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
