Alumina Market Size in Poland

From 2007 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the U.S., while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2019, after nine years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of alumina, when their volume decreased by -X% to X tonnes. In general, imports continue to indicate a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2019, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, alumina imports contracted remarkably to $X in 2019. Over the period under review, imports saw a perceptible setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2019, imports remained at a lower figure.
