Asbestos Market Size in the Philippines

In value terms, asbestos exports amounted to $X in 2018. Overall, asbestos exports, however, continue to indicate a precipitous downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011 with an increase of X% year-to-year. In that year, asbestos exports attained their peak of $X. From 2012 to 2018, the growth of asbestos exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Russia was the major exporting country with an export of about X tonnes, which reached X% of total exports. Kazakhstan (X tonnes) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Brazil (X%). China (X tonnes) held a relatively small share of total exports.

Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern of asbestos exports. At the same time, China (+X%) and Kazakhstan (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2018. By contrast, Thailand (-X%), Viet Nam (-X%) and China (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of India (+X p.p.), Uzbekistan (+X p.p.), Indonesia (+X p.p.) and Sri Lanka (+X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the global imports from 2007-2018, the share of Thailand (-X p.p.), Viet Nam (-X p.p.) and China (-X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
