Exports from Peru
After four years of growth, shipments abroad of vegetables and melons decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.
In value terms, vegetable and melon exports contracted to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
