Wrapping Papers Market Size in Norway

Over the period under review, exports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, wrapping papers exports rose remarkably to $X in 2020. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2007 to 2020; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports attained the peak figure in 2020 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

The U.S. (X tonnes), Sweden (X tonnes) and the Netherlands (X tonnes) were the main destinations of wrapping papers exports from Norway, together accounting for X% of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the Netherlands, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average export prices reached the maximum at $X per tonne in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2020, export prices failed to regain the momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Norway

In 2020, the amount of wrapping paper, packaging paper and paperboard imported into Norway skyrocketed to X tonnes, picking up by X% against the previous year. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable setback. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, wrapping papers imports surged to $X in 2020. Overall, imports, however, saw a mild contraction. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2020, Sweden (X tonnes) constituted the largest wrapping papers supplier to Norway, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, wrapping papers imports from Sweden exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Denmark (X tonnes), eightfold.
