Over the period under review, exports hit record highs at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Sweden (X tonnes) was the main destination for nuts exports from Norway, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, nuts exports to Sweden exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Finland (X tonnes), fivefold.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2019, and then shrank in the following year.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2007 to 2020: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $X per tonne in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2020, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was the U.S. ($X per tonne), while the price for India ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
