Melon Market Size in Norway

In 2019, the Norwegian melon market decreased by -X% to $X for the first time since 2015, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, consumption continues to indicate a pronounced slump. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tonnes in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2019, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, melon imports declined markedly to $X in 2019. Overall, imports continue to indicate a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2019, the growth imports remained at a lower figure.

The Netherlands (X tonnes), Spain (X tonnes) and Brazil (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of melon imports to Norway, together accounting for X% of total imports.
