Exports from New Zealand

In 2022, overseas shipments of shelled hazelnuts increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Over the period under review, exports enjoyed tangible growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, shelled hazelnut exports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a mild descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Australia (X tons), Solomon Islands (X kg) and Vanuatu (X kg) were the main destinations of shelled hazelnut exports from New Zealand, with a combined X% share of total exports.
