Exports from the Netherlands

For the third year in a row, the Netherlands recorded decline in shipments abroad of rare earth metals, which decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, rare earth metal exports declined significantly to $X in 2022. In general, exports saw a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Brazil (X tons), France (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main destinations of rare earth metal exports from the Netherlands, together comprising X% of total exports. Germany, Austria, Hong Kong SAR, Serbia, Belgium, Italy and Estonia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Hong Kong SAR (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
