Exports by Country

Germany (X tonnes), Canada (X tonnes) and Belgium (X tonnes) were the main destinations of jute exports from the Netherlands, together comprising X% of total exports. These countries were followed by the Philippines and the UK, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the UK (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for jute exported from the Netherlands were Germany ($X), Canada ($X) and Belgium ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2018, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to the UK ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Germany, India, France, the U.S., Bangladesh and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Russia, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
