From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Belgium totaled +3.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Brazil (+659.4% per year) and Japan (+577.6% per year).

The average beet-pulp and bagasse export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -18.4% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Imports into the Netherlands
In 2021, overseas purchases of beet-pulp and bagasse decreased by -9.5% to X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, imports showed a noticeable curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 35% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, beet-pulp and bagasse imports stood at $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 61%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Germany (X tons) constituted the largest beet-pulp and bagasse supplier to the Netherlands, with a 55% share of total imports. Moreover, beet-pulp and bagasse imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belgium (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by France (X tons), with an 8.5% share.
