Exports from the Netherlands

In 2022, shipments abroad of aluminium tubes and pipes decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of X%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, aluminium tube exports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then fell notably in the following year.

Poland (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main destinations of aluminium tube exports from the Netherlands, together accounting for X% of total exports. Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Lithuania, the UK, Sweden, Spain, Luxembourg and Slovenia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
