In 2022, shipments abroad of candies, sweets, and nonchocolate confectionery decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, exports saw a dramatic contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when exports increased by X%. The exports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, candy, sweets, and nonchocolate confectionery exports dropped sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, exports faced a sharp decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

China (X tons) was the main destination for candy, sweets, and nonchocolate confectionery exports from Myanmar, with a X% share of total exports.
