Imports into Morocco
In 2021, overseas purchases of electric accumulators decreased by -X% to X units, falling for the second year in a row after five years of growth. Overall, imports, however, recorded a measured increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by X%. Imports peaked at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X units), Spain (X units) and France (X units) were the main suppliers of accumulator imports to Morocco, with a combined X% share of total imports. Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Sweden and Japan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Sweden (with a CAGR of +X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, import price indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, accumulator import price increased by +X% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by X%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per unit), while the price for Switzerland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
