Over the period under review, exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2019, exports failed to regain the momentum.

In 2019, India (X tons), distantly followed by the U.S. (X tons), Turkey (X tons), Italy (X tons) and China (X tons) represented the main exporters of bentonite, together achieving X% of total exports. The following exporters - Slovakia (X tons), Azerbaijan (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Greece (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.
From 2007 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Greece, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the U.S. ($X), Turkey ($X) and India ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2019, with a combined X% share of total exports.
Among the main exporting countries, Turkey recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2019, the bentonite export price in Morocco amounted to $X per ton, which is down by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, posted a strong expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of X% year-to-year. Morocco export price peaked at $X per ton in 2018, and then reduced in the following year.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2012 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2013 to 2019, the growth imports remained at a lower figure.

The countries with the highest levels of bentonite imports in 2019 were Germany (X tons), Canada (X tons), Indonesia (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Poland (X tons), Russia (X tons), Saudi Arabia (X tons), Thailand (X tons), the UK (X tons), Japan (X tons) and France (X tons), together reaching X% of total import. Italy (X tons) occupied a minor share of total imports.
From 2007 to 2019, the biggest increases were in Thailand, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), Canada ($X) and the Netherlands ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2019, with a combined X% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Japan, Thailand, France, the UK, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Russia, Malaysia and Italy, which together accounted for a further X the main importing countries, Thailand recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The bentonite import price in Morocco stood at $X per ton in 2019, increasing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate notable growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of X% year-to-year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2018 to 2019, the growth in terms of the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2019, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while Indonesia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
